Club Neon is a popular dance club in the Second District.
Plot Summary[]
After some discussion with the Psychiatrist, Zero is sent on a mission to assassinate DJ Electrohead.
Electrohead is confirmed to be trafficking drugs, including Chronos, around New Mecca.
Once Zero arrives at the club, he is required to sneak past some lightly armed guards and multiple club patrons as quickly as possible. After Zero has made his way through the front and the back of the club to where Electrohead is, the two enter a brief dialogue.
Electrohead struggles at first to confirm if Zero is "real" when he first arrives. He goes on to explain that the drug he's on has greatly altered his perception of time and reality. Electrohead goes on to say the bottle he came across was not labeled, putting Zero at a disadvantage for not knowing the drug's name. The player can either kill DJ Electrohead or talk to him until V shoots him, which will still count towards the assassination.
Gameplay[]
This is the first level in Katana Zero featuring stealth as an important mechanic.
The player must carefully inch their way past multiple armed bodyguards, which is relatively easy so long as the player stays out of their sight cones. The guards are unable to hear Zero's movement due to the extremely loud music playing, and Zero is able to blend in with clubgoers if the player remains completely still in any group of dancers.
Zero encounters Strong Terry (the actual NPC) directly after entering the backroom door on his way to Electrohead. It's an extremely easy fight, but once Terry is killed he will immediately be mourned by a Skinny Ricky, who will immediately attempt to avenge him, and may catch the player off-guard.
Notes[]
- The track that plays throughout the entire level is Hit The Floor by DJ Electrohead.
- The track will be slightly muted the further Zero makes his way into the backrooms.
