Fa Yuan is a minor character in Katana Zero and target in the Prison level.

Appearance[]
Fa Yuan is dressed in an orange prisoner suit. He has a massive scar on the left side of his face, rendering him blind in his left eye.
Personality[]
During the confrontation that takes place between Fa Yuan and Fifteen at the Prison, it's shown that Fa Yuan easily cracks under pressure.
He almost immediately gives Fifteen the names of the people he knew were involved in the larger Chronos project, fearing for his life while admitting he had only talked to his own lawyer during his entire prison stay.
History[]
Fa Yuan was a political refugee. Through unknown circumstances, he obtained information on several people involved in the creation and distribution of Chronos (Namely Josh Rose, Omar Al-Qasim, and Leon Von Alvensleben). For this, he was arrested and imprisoned in the Mutual-Nil Prison, where he lived in isolation, speaking only to his lawyer, for many years.
During the events of the game, Fifteen comes to Yuan's cell to find out the names of those involved with Chronos's creation. Yuan gives him the names of those he knows are involved, as well as some information regarding Chronos's recreation. Despite begging to be spared, Fifteen then kills Yuan by dunking his head into the toilet and stabbing him (As evidenced by the bloodstains on the cell wall). It was also hinted at that Fa Yuan was going to die anyways, through execution, or through Zero.
Zero was also instructed to assassinate Yuan, but finds him already dead when he arrives.
Trivia[]
- He is the only target that was killed before the start of the mission.
- He’s the only target in who’s dossier we see a close-up of their face instead of their in-game sprite
- If the player remains in Fa Yuan's cell for more than a few seconds, a nearby dead body in a bunk bed will very visibly and audibly drip blood into the floor.
- Though Fa Yuan's dossier shows him with a scar on his left eye, in game his scar is shown being on the right.
- If Zero has repeatedly provoked The Psychiatrist before the mission, all information in Yuan's dossier is replaced by the word "KILL" repeated over and over.
- Fa Yuan is stated to be 253 lbs, and Fifteen's article states that Fa Yuan is over a hundred kilograms. Converting 253 lbs to kg, Fa Yuan is 114 kg, thus proving Fifteen's article correct.
